So how much CO2 (carbon dioxide) is generated per kilowatt hour (kWh) of electricity generated in the U.K.? Good question! On average this works out to be around 275 grams per kilowatt hour of electricity produced, this is combining all generation from renewables to coal and gas, for instance the CO2 generated by burning natural gas is 0.185 kg / kWh not including losses and inefficiencies in distribution.
We're happy to say our eco-conscious roasting produces 100% CARBON FREE emissions! To give you an idea that means we're saving hundreds of kilos of CO2 per year compared to other coffee roasters that most commonly use gas roasters.
